Reading Strategies for Comprehension
The use of reading strategies provides focus, improves concentration and enables the reader to better comprehend text. Non-fiction can be particularly difficult for children and adolescents. Both General Reading Strategies and Strategic Reading for Non-Fiction offer before, during and after reading strategies. The Close Reading Strategy can be used for both fiction and non-fiction.
